Learn About Pool Safety and Health (Especially This Summer!)

Inspection data focused on pool safety was collected in 2013 that involved 5 states with the most public pools and hot tubs: California, Arizona, Florida, New York and Texas. Most inspections of public aquatic venues identified at least one violation, one in eight inspections resulted in immediate closure due to safety and health violations and one in five kiddie pools were closed (the highest proportion of closures among all other inspection venues). To sum it all up, the most common violations were related to improper pH, disinfectant concentration and safety equipment.

One way you can start, is by investing in pool safety training.

You can search up a good pool/spa operator certification program. The program will help he/she learn how to collect and test water samples for pH, bacteria and chlorination levels. This is probably the most efficient way to truly learn and gain more knowledge on the important details that can come in hand to manage and inspect a pool efficiently.

Another way you can be sure that you’re maintaining your pool the right way is by checking in with HOAs and condo associations.
